Blood Pressure Block Parties Go National

Madison, Wisconsin Block PartyMore than 60 million Americans have high blood pressure, yet only half are aware of it. In August, PCRM doctors and nurses went into communities in Seattle, Oakland, Madison, Wisc., Pittsburgh, Tampa, and RoBaltimore, Maryland Block Partyckford, Ill., to host free blood pressure screenings. Participants were provided with a list of local clinics for follow-up, nutrition information on the link between high blood pressure aRockford, Illinois Block Partynd diet, and free delicious all-vegan food samples. The Block Parties were a huge success, screening between 80 to 150 people over a two-hour period at each location. Local media also turned out in several locations. Thanks to all involved for making the events a success. Future Blood Pressure Block Parties are currently being planned. Interested in becoming involved?
