All-New Recipes and New Celebs Join 21-Day Vegan Kickstart
The latest 21-Day Vegan Kickstart began on Monday with an all-new meal plan that’s got something for everyone. The completely revised three-week menu includes gluten-free recipes and meals from PCRM’s Kickstart India and China programs. The Kickstart also has two new international celebrity coaches who share their favorite recipes.
The new meal plan features recipes from 21-Day Weight Loss Kickstart and The Get Healthy, Go Vegan Cookbook, both by PCRM president Neal Barnard, M.D. Vive le Vegan! and The Everyday Vegan author Dreena Burton also contributed recipes.
Oatmeal with Fig and Mint, Moroccan Bean Stew with Sweet Potatoes, Chai Spice Pancakes, Seared Cauliflower with Garlic and Tamari, and Steamed Eggplant with Garlic are just a few of the many new recipes.
This April’s Kickstart also has new celebrity coaches who share tips and recipes. Mexican entertainer Marco Regil and Canadian ice skater Meagan Duhamel have joined the veteran team of Kickstart coaches, which includes New York Times best-selling authors Alicia Silverstone and Marilu Henner.
Regil has hosted the Spanish-speaking versions of The Price is Right, Family Feud, Dancing with the Stars, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, and Miss Mexico. He says that since he began a vegan diet, he has lost weight and feels and looks younger.
Duhamel, who transitioned to a vegan diet three years ago, is the 2012 Canadian national champion pair skater and is currently preparing for the 2014 Olympics.
