National Conference to End Factory Farming: for Health, Environment, and Farm Animals
PCRM’s new “Antibiotic Resistance from Animal Agriculture” report uncovers some of the health-related consequences of factory farming. This month, you can learn more about the dangers of factory farming at the National Conference to End Factory Farming.
Elizabeth Kucinich, PCRM’s director of public affairs, will speak at the first National Conference to End Factory Farming that takes place in the Washington, D.C., area from Oct. 27 to 29. The conference will explore how the rise of factory farming has had devastating consequences for our health, our planet, and the welfare of billions of animals.
The Farm Sanctuary event will bring together 25 speakers, including animal behavior expert and Second Nature author Jonathan Balcombe, Ph.D., and Dr. T. Colin Campbell, author of The China Study. Speaker panels will cover a wide range of factory farming related topics, including climate change, public health risks, the emotional lives of farm animals, and the economics of factory farming.
