Crash Course |
:30 |
From better bike helmets to safer car seats, scientists constantly find new high-tech ways to protect our children from accidents. But today, many parents struggle to safeguard their kids from another threat: obesity and other diet-related health problems that can set the stage for cancer and heart disease later in life. "Crash Course," narrated by actress Lisa Edelstein who stars in the hit medical drama House, helps parents understand the health benefits of a diet rich in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. |

Med School |
 |
PCRM’s newest public service announcement, “Med School,” lets viewers know that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and other vegetarian foods can help fight disease. This takeoff on today’s popular TV medical dramas shows interns on hospital rounds, working to diagnose patients and prescribe the right treatment. When their resident shows them a colorful array of photos of fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains arranged on an X-ray light board, the interns learn that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and high-fiber foods is an effective tool to prevent and manage cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and other diet-related illnesses and conditions. |

Veggie Therapy |
 |
In PCRM’s first animated PSA, Mr. Banana, Ms. Broccoli, and other fruits and veggies voice their feelings of rejection because they’ve been passed over in the supermarket for less healthful food choices. These amusing characters feel misunderstood because too many people don’t appreciate the ability of fruits and vegetables to provide optimum nutrition and prevent obesity and diet-related diseases. |
