Life-Threatening Invasive Experiments on San Antonio 14 Chimpanzees

Fourteen aging and seriously ill chimpanzees are being used in life-threatening invasive experiments. The chimpanzees were taken out of a nonresearch facility in New Mexico last year by the National Institutes of Health and transferred to Texas Biomed’s Southwest National Primate Research Center in San Antonio. PCRM’s Petition for Investigative Action filed with the federal government says the experiments that should be halted immediately.

The 14 chimpanzees have undergone liver-punch biopsies and other painful procedures. Learn more about Cammy, Katrina, Ken, and Levi, four of the chimpanzees transferred to Texas Biomed.
