Spread the Word: send a free dissection alternatives ecard
What You Can Do: make your school dissection free

Why Teachers and Students are Concerned

Increasing numbers of educators, experts, and students are questioning the value of dissection exercises. There are serious ethical and environmental problems with the way animals are collected, prepared, and killed, and the dissection itself sends a troubling message to young people about the way animals should be treated.

Although students and teachers now have many effective, cruelty-free alternative learning methods, many students are still asked to perform dissections at school. Find out more about why we should be concerned.
