We have been doing cooking classes at St. Helena's school since 2016 and monthly dinners at Restaurant Neerob in our neighborhood. Our focus is on helping people get started with a plant-based lifestyle and understanding the nutrition as well as learning the practical food prep and cooking skills.Our group is open to all, we are split 50/50 between a Bangladeshi/muslim culture at Neerob, and a mixed population at St Helena, about 50% Hispanic and several other ethnicities. Our cooking classes are prepaid at the rectory, and Neerob obviously charges for the dinners.
