Deborah Milkowski, MD
Dr. Milkowski graduated from Dartmouth Medical School in 1994 and went on to train in internal medicine, pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Her Air Force career took her to different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Eventually, she settled in North Carolina. After 25 years of serving patients with largely reversible and preventable diseases, she decided it was time to change her approach. She decided that, at age 50, she wanted to do more in the public health sphere in order to impact the largest number of people, and her search for a better way to practice medicine led her to become a Food for Life instructor through the Physicians Committee. She now offers a variety of nutrition courses in her community. She is also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Please visit her website: OptimumHealthNutrition.org.
