Dr. Zarek is a native of Los Osos, Calif. She graduated from George Washington School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Christiana Care Health Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine. Accolades include the Delaware Young Physician of the Year award in 2007 and the Leonard P. Lange Award from the Delaware chapter of the American College of Physicians in 2014. She is currently serving on the Brandywine School District Board of Education. Dr. Zarek has been vegetarian since 2010. She has been vegan since 2018.
