Lataya is a compassionate lifestyle medicine family nurse practitioner and doctorate of nursing practice with more than 11 years of experience in the medical field, which began as a combat medic in the U.S. Army. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing at Florida International University and worked primarily in emergency services. She obtained her Master of Science in nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Ohio State University. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Lataya is a board-certified lifestyle medicine provider through the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She uses a lifestyle medicine approach for her patients to help them prevent, reverse, and manage their chronic diseases.
