Dr. Kalra is board-certified in family medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She completed her training from the Mayo Clinic, her residency from the Mayo Clinic Family Medicine Residency Program at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, and her medical degree from Medical College and Hospital in Jabalpur, India. She graduated with a master’s degree in Preventive Medicine and Public Health from the College of Medicine at the University of Iowa. She is active in the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians and the Montgomery County Medical Society and focuses on preventive care of patients with chronic diseases with an emphasis on a whole food, plant-based diet. She is certified in plant-based cooking from Rouxbe Culinary School.
