Dr. Maria DePina earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Mass., and completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh, Mercy Hospital. She is board-certified in internal medicine and has extensive experience in primary care. Dr. DePina has practiced at many well-known institutions around Massachusetts, such as Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston, Norwood Hospital in Norwood, and University Health Center at Northeastern University. Most recently, Dr. DePina practiced at Brigham and Women's Harbor Medical Associates in Weymouth, Mass. Dr.DePina has a special interest in prevention and enjoys partnering with parents for optimal results.

Be in Health Primary Care is a new telemedicine practice focusing on prevention. Its motto is "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Dr. DePina encourages following a plant-based diet and avoiding processed foods with a goal to help patients live longer and have more energy.
