For 20 years, Rik van Mill has practiced as an endodontist. In 2010, he suffered a heart attack and made the decision to follow a plant-based, oil-free diet. With this lifestyle change, Dr. van Mill was able to avoid heart surgery and has been able to stay healthy and active since. This year, at age 71, Dr. van Mill completed two half-marathons and is currently training for the Alpe d'Huez.
