Dr Schimek has a passion for helping her patients prevent and reverse chronic disease and loves celebrating her patient’s success and motivating them through tough times and she wants to help you too.

Professionally she did her undergraduate studies and masters of public health at Tulane University. She studied medicine at Jefferson Medical College and completed her Family Medicine residency at University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is fellowship trained in global health and worked with the Indian Health Service and Partners in Health, Mexico, while completing the UCSF Health Equity and Leadership (HEAL) Global Health Fellowship. Beyond lifestyle medicine, she has expertise in comprehensive maternal and child health, reproductive justice, clinical procedures, medical education, provider wellbeing, and transgender health.

Her interests outside of medicine include spending time with her husband and two young kids, traveling and exploring new places, and cooking.
