Introduction to How Foods Fight Diabetes
Thursday, April 11, 2024 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Diabetes is a nationwide epidemic but if you or someone you love has been diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes, there is reason for hope!

Learn how you can harness important scientific research to dramatically change the way you look at diabetes. By addressing the causes, this condition can be prevented, managed, and even reversed through diet and lifestyle choices. Carbohydrates are not the enemy!

In this class, you'll hear why it's not about counting carbs or calories or focusing on portion size! A low, fat, plant-based approach offers a new tool that many have found to be very useful in reversing pre-diabetes, reducing the amount of medication required, and in many cases reversing diabetes completely!

Hear the latest science behind this approach, consider some simple ideas for getting started, cook along to sample four dishes, and explore useful resources.

This is the first class in a longer series. At the end of this class, you'll have an opportunity to learn more about the series.

What to Expect:  Food for Life classes include a short video with time for Q&A and a cooking class which you can watch or join and cook at home. Recipes and class resources will be sent a week in advance along with the link to join. Chef Linda will provide contact information should you have any questions about shopping or prepping! The class format is fun and relaxing.

If you've got diabetes on your mind you won't want to miss this class!
