A plant-based diet is often promoted as a way to lose weight. But its benefits will be felt more broadly in your well-being. In this series of four classes, you’ll learn why adopting a plant-based diet supports holistic health, offering a preventive approach to the health challenges faced uniquely by women.

June 19 Foods and Mood A diet rich in plant foods is associated with better mental health outcomes, reducing the risk of depression and anxiety.

June 26 Tackling Menopause A plant-based diet can help alleviate symptoms like hot flashes and mood swings by providing essential nutrients and maintaining hormone balance.

July 10 Foods for a Healthy Heart The leading cause of death for women is heart disease. Consuming fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes lowers cholesterol levels and reduces heart disease risk due to their high fiber and antioxidant content.

July 17 Tackling Hormone-Related Cancers Plant-based diets are linked to a lower risk of hormone-related breast and ovarian cancer because they are rich in phytonutrients and low in processed fats.

Each live 90-minute Zoom class includes a Physician’s Committee video, handouts, discussion, and cooking demonstrations of delicious plant-based recipes that will support your health. Recipes will be available in advance, so you can even cook along with me!

The best side effect of a plant-based diet is how good I feel. I feel terrific! Lots of energy, solid sleep, no meds. I want everyone to feel as good as I do, which is why I share my Food for Life curriculum as broadly and affordably as possible.
