Overview: Both antioxidants and the body’s immune system are critically important in fighting cancer. In this class, you’ll learn how cancer-fighting compounds such as antioxidants, which are mainly found in fruits and vegetables, assist in halting free-radical damage, which can otherwise lead to cancer development.
You’ll also learn how healthy weight control is essential for warding off a variety of chronic diseases and how trimming excess weight may improve survival after cancer has been diagnosed.
During the class, you’ll learn how to make three easy and healthful dishes loaded with immune-boosting nutrients such as beta carotene, lycopene, vitamin C, and zinc—empowering you to easily and naturally maintain a healthy weight and a cancer-fighting nutritional regime.
