Foods and Mood
Monday, September 9, 2024 06:00 pm to 07:30 pm

Evidence suggest that foods can help conquer moodiness and more serious mood problems such as anxiety and depression. Studies show a dramatic improvement in depression and hostility scores, along with physical benefits, with a plant-based diet.

Based on the book Your Body in BalanceThe New Science of Food, Hormones, and Health by Neal Barnard, MD, FACC. This class will demonstrate mood-boosting recipes that can easily be made at home.

This class will feature a cooking demonstration, handouts of easy and affordable recipes that you can prepare at home, a physician-led lecture, and opportunity for discussion.

The cooking demo includes:

Jerk Marinade

Chipotle Slaw
Warm Apple Cherry Compote
