Class Dates
This two-hour cooking class provides an introduction to how certain foods and nutrients work to promote or discourage cancer. In this class you will learn about the right food choices that can help reduce your risk of developing cancer as well as prevent a recurrence. Despite a wealth of scientific data, most people remain unaware of how they can reduce their risk of developing cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, only about 10% of cancer cases are linked to genetics; the remaining 90% or more stem from environmental and lifestyle factors and are potentially preventable. In this class you will learn how a whole food plant-based way of eating can help lower your risk. The class features a video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes, following a cooking demonstration in a supportive group setting.
This class is intended for anyone, including cancer survivors, who want to take control of their health and learn to make some cancer-kicking recipes!
