Getting cancer is not just due to your genes!

According to the National Cancer Institute, only about 10% of cancer cases are linked to genetics; the remaining 90% or more stem from environmental and lifestyle factors and are potentially preventable. Research has shown that more than one-third of all cancer deaths in the United States are due to poor diet, yet most are unaware of the connection.

In this Food for Life class, you’ll learn how certain foods and nutrients work to promote or discourage the growth of cancers of all types (including breast cancer) and enjoy cooking along in your own kitchen with simple recipes that we’ll make together.

100% Plant-Based Menu Includes:

Homestyle Squash and Pinto Beans

Toasted Rice Pilaf

Fruity, Crunchy, Spicy Salad Greens

This is not your average cooking class!

You'll get valuable nutrition information and resources to help you understand the link between nutrition and disease. Then you'll put it all together in a hands-on cooking class right from your own kitchen because tasting is believing!
