A decline in brain health is not an inevitable part of aging! November brings awareness to Alzheimer's: Learn why plant-based foods may help prevent this disease and other forms of dementia.
Why You Should Take This Class
Research shows that certain foods can increase the risk of cognitive decline. A plant-based diet helps protect brain health and in this Food for Life class, you'll learn more about the foods that support brain health and cook-along to make simple dishes that demonstrate how easy plant-based cooking can be.
Drawing from the book Power Foods for the Brain by Dr. Neal Barnard, the class will guide participants through the research supporting a low-fat, plant-based diet for maintaining brain function and minimizing the risk of cognitive decline.
In this class, you'll learn which foods to prioritize and which to limit. Cook along or watch as we make delicious recipes from a selection of brain "power foods". You'll receive resources and handouts of easy and affordable recipes to prepare at home.
