February is American Heart Month! As a wellness practitioner with over 35 years in the field, I'm so passionate about helping people battle and conquer the nation's #1 killer of men and women - Heart Disease.
This fun-filled class will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills to take action to strengthen your heart health with simple diet and lifestyle changes. We'll dive into important cardiovascular risk factors like high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and offer recipes and nutrition strategies that can improve or even reverse these conditions. The goal is to guide you toward adopting a healthier, low-fat plant-based diet, in order to reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease.
Class includes a cooking demonstration and tasting delicious, heart-friendly dishes. Participants will also receive handouts with easy and affordable recipes to prepare at home.
When making lifestyle changes, a supportive network is key to success. Bring a friend or family member!
