Alexandra Dobre
Food for Life Instructor
Alexandra became vegan back in 2013 after watching a series of documentaries (What the Health, Forks Over Knives, Engine 2 Diet & Food Choices) on the obesity epidemic, the high rates of chronic diseases and the inhumane slaughter houses that animals live in. That weekend she made a vow to herself that she would no longer be part of the pain and suffering that's being caused to so many animals and would embark on a vegan journey (scary at the time) to take her power back. Since then, she's been thriving, feeling the best she has every felt and been experimenting in the kitchen with different recipes. What she has learned on her journey is that it is possible to get one's full nutrition on a vegan diet, thrive and feel great about how one's food decisions are impacting the world.
Alexandra has been in the education field for the past 12 years. She holds an MLIS and completing an MEd part-time. She also hold a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from AFPA. She's passionate about educating individuals on the profound benefits of a whole-foods, plant-based lifestyle, and empowering them to reclaim their health and vitality with the power of plants. She's excited to be here and be teaching the PCRM Food For Life curricula!
