Andreina Troncoso
Food for Life Instructor
Andreina has an MBA from the University of Maryland University College. She also received a bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from Missouri State University, where she was awarded a full athletic scholarship as a D1 swimmer. Nutrition was always top priority for optimal performance.
She found the power of a plant-based diet in 2020, (two years after her dad passed away from heart disease), when discovering that her husband with type 1 diabetes was struggling to manage his condition. After weeks of research, many books and webinars later, she decided to transform her whole family of four (at the time), by following a whole-food, plant-based diet.
She currently serves as the Nutrition Program Coordinator for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. She earned her certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition at eCornell and T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, and is a graduate of the Rouxbe's Forks Over Knives Ultimate Cooking Course.
