Dawna Hankins
Food for Life Instructor
My name is Dawna Hankins. I am originally from Ohio, and I have lived in Pennsylvania for over 15 years. I am a wife, and a mother to three great kids and two fur babies. I am excited to share "Food For Life" information with you as well as my passion for helping people put their wellness first. My bachelor's degree is in Human Resources Management, and I am a Certified Diversity Professional. I have a certificate in Whole Food Plant-Based Nutrition (WFPB) through e-Cornell, and I am a certified Health and Well-being Coach through Wellcoaches.
My personal wellness vision includes plant-based nutrition. I became a Food For Life instructor because I want everyone to know the benefits of this lifestyle. Changing the path for my family's health is important to me. In 2011, I made changes to my diet that allowed me to lower my cholesterol and triglycerides in a matter of months. After more research, I became plant-based in 2019. It was and is a journey. Self-care and food choice are truly essential to how we feel and who we can become. As a breast cancer warrior, I promote stress reduction, and exercise to ensure a balanced life.
If this resonates with you, put your health first, try a Food For Life class, and remember to bring a friend.
