Food for Life Instructor
Deborah Chielli is a nurse practitioner with a bachelor's degree in dietetics. She is certified in Lifestyle Medicine by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and in Plant-Based Nutrition by the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. Deborah has practiced primary care and lifestyle medicine in the community setting, and in service to veterans in the VA Health System, additionally she has practiced in gastroenterology, where she has helped patients heal their IBS, GERD, fatty liver, and other conditions.
Deborah teaches in the masters nursing program at Wilkes University, is a team member of Rochester Lifestyle Medicine, and is a dedicated volunteer in lifestyle medicine spaces.
Married over 35 years with 3 adult children and 2 kitty cats, Deborah is passionate about teaching the power of food as medicine. Deborah is, herself, a breast cancer survivor, her father having had quadruple bypass surgery and now with dementia, and she lost her mother to Alzheimer's disease. Deborah is unstoppable in her quest to spread the word about the power each individual has to prevent, treat, reverse disease, lose weight, and feel great ... at the ends of our forks.
