Judy Lemco

Food for Life Instructor

Judy Lemco

Judy started her plant-based journey in 2019 after her doctor recommended she increase her blood pressure medication. She was a lifelong dieter, yet struggled to maintain her weight. After watching the movie “Forks Over Knives,” she made the decision to switch to a whole food, plant-based lifestyle. She then completed the certificate program in plant-based nutrition by the T. Colin Campbell Center For Nutrition Studies through eCornell.

One year later she had lost 20 pounds and she was able to discontinue her blood pressure medication.

In 2023, she was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. She discovered there is a wealth of evidenced-based research suggesting that eating a whole food plant-based diet can reduce your risk of many cancers and reduce one’s risk of recurrence of cancer. Now a breast cancer survivor, Judy knows a plant-based diet is the best way to sustain her health. As a certified  Food For Life instructor through the Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine, Judy looks forward to helping others in their journey to make this plant-based lifestyle change for better health.
