Food for Life Instructor
Julie started her plant-based journey after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. After learning that plant-based lifestyles can often prevent and reverse chronic diseases, Julie decided that her best defense against a breast cancer recurrence was to transition to a 100% plant-based diet. Julie realized she wanted to share this vital information with others. She received her health coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2021 as well as certifications in Gut Health and Emotional Eating Psychology. Soon after, Julie started teaching plant-based cooking classes for several breast cancer non-profits in her area. Also in 2021, Julie joined the Philadelphia plant-based pod (now Building Healthy Communities) as a co-leader. In 2024 Julie became a Food For Life Instructor to expand her knowledge of plant-based nutrition.
Serving cities and surrounding areas of Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs (Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware counties) and New Jersey (south and central).
