T. Colin Campbell, PhD, has devoted his life to nutrition science and revolutionized how many of us, including physicians, view plant-based diets. His research and book thrust the health benefits of a plant-based diet into the forefront of medical discussion. Millions first learned of the link between consumption of animal products and deadly diseases by reading his book and reviewing his landmark studies which began nearly four decades earlier. Today, his work continues to inspire a new generation of medical professionals as well as health-conscious patients seeking to reduce the risk of developing certain types of cancer and coronary heart disease.

On this episode of The Exam Room™, “The Weight Loss Champion” Chuck Carroll travels to Fairfax VegFest to interview Dr. Campbell just moments after he walked off stage following a presentation that dazzled the packed house who came to see him.

Chuck and Dr. Campbell dive into the future of plant-based medicine while also examining how adopting a plant-based diet may help alter the course of treatment for cancer patients.

The pair also compare the difference between obtaining nutrients by taking supplements and through the food we eat.

Also, Chuck revisits an interview with Neal Barnard, MD, where he reveals some of the best foods we can eat to fight cancer!

Join Dr. Barnard on July 25-27 at the International Conference On Nutrition In Medicine in Washington, D.C. We’ll also be taping live episodes of The Exam Room™ from the conference!
