Plant-Based Diets Lower Risk for Type 2 Diabetes
Plant-based diets lower the risk for type 2 diabetes, according to research published in Diabetologia. Researchers followed more than 10,000 healthy participants, finding that those who ate more fruits and vegetables had more compounds in their blood that lowered their risk for developing type 2 diabetes than those who ate less of these foods.
