Plant-Based Foods Are Beneficial for Diabetes
A new study has found that replacing red and processed meat with plant-based alternatives improves insulin sensitivity and reduces waist circumference.1 Plant-based diets improve insulin sensitivity in part by reducing the amount of fat stored inside liver and muscle cells which can interfere with the effects of insulin, according to a clinical trial published by the Physicians Committee.2
