A Plant-Forward Thai Diet Reduces Markers of Chronic Disease

A study comparing a traditional Thai diet to one using plant-based ingredients found the latter to have significant health benefits. Researchers randomized 62 individuals to eat a traditional Thai diet or a diet in which the animal products were replaced with plant-based alternatives. After 12 weeks, significant improvements were found in BMI, blood pressure, LDL cholesterol, fasting blood sugar, kidney health, and gut microbiome composition.
