Processed Meat Associated with Manic Episodes
Eating processed meat products increases the risk of manic episodes, according to a new study published in Molecular Psychiatry. Researchers from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore examined the diet records of individuals with and without psychiatric disorders and found that mania was significantly associated with the consumption of cured meat products. This study adds to the body evidence for risks associated with processed meat consumption.
