Honora Favorito
Food for Life Instructor
Honora worked for many years as a pathologist and saw firsthand the toll that chronic western diseases, such as cancer and heart disease, take on so many people. She also has a strong family history of heart disease herself and was experiencing high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol by her late thirties. After watching the documentary Forks Over Knives in 2011, she became very interested in the power of a whole food plant-based/vegan diet to prevent and treat chronic diseases. She has been plant-based ever since and believes plant-based eating is optimal for health. She retired from her pathology career a few years ago and now is dedicated to helping people learn about, and transition to, a whole food plant-based lifestyle. As a Food for Life instructor, she is thrilled to be able to help people on their plant-based journeys.
