Sarah Smith
Food for Life Instructor
I am the mother of 6 children, married to my best friend and local Podiatrist. We live in a small town of Oregon. Together we are striving to share information in our community about the benefits of eating a more healthful diet of whole plant foods in order to prevent chronic illness and enjoy a more active, fulfilling and enjoyable life. We believe our bodies are a gift and it is our responsibility to care for them, so we can then bless the lives of others.
I got my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and have a love of learning and teaching, especially young people. I have a certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies in the Plant-Based Nutrition Program from ECornell, as well as well as completion of the Nutrition Science course from the Stanford Center for Health Education.
I enjoy finding wonder and beauty in nature, hiking, gardening, fitness, baking bread, and creating good food in the kitchen. I also really enjoy working with youth in our community, and a continuous love of learning. Life has so much to offer!
