Faulty Study Methods Explained by Leading Researchers

Controversial food headlines, like “butter is back” and “cholesterol doesn’t matter,” can be the result of faulty study designs in research studies. A new JAMA commentary, co-authored by the Physicians Committee’s Neal Barnard, M.D., and Walter Willett, M.D., Dr.PH., and Eric Ding, Sc.D., from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health, shows how meta-analyses can lead to false conclusions, confusing the press and public.
