Nearly 40% of Postmenopausal Breast Cancer Cases Linked to Obesity
A case-control study of over 2,000 women found that 38% of postmenopausal, hormone receptor-positive breast cancer cases can be attributed to obesity when a woman’s body fat percentage is greater than 40%.1 Plant-based diets have consistently been associated with a lower risk of obesity and are effective for weight loss.2-5
