New Bird Flu Cases Raise Questions About Transmissibility

A Missouri resident has developed bird flu, despite having no known contact with any infected animals or humans.A close contact of the person developed similar symptoms on the same day but was not tested. Health authorities have raised the question as to whether the case shows that the virus may have gained the ability to spread between humans.2
